Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit 2009

This version of the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit 2009 is with its length of 5,141 km 0,749 km shorter than the current track of 5,890 km. It is the part between the corners Abbey and Brooklands that has significantly been changed.
The Silverstone circuit has a rich history and is located northwest of London, built on the site of a World War II Royal Air Force bomber station, RAF Silverstone. The circuit opened in 1943 and the first-ever race of the Formula One World Driver's Championship was held in 1950.
There aren't a lot of elevation changes, which makes sense as a former air base, but for much of its history Silverstone was known for its ultra-fast sweeping corners and fast average speeds, including one of the most famous sequence of corners like Copse, Maggotts, and Becketts.
