Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit

The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is a motor racing circuit located on Phillip Island, an island just off the southern coast near Melbourne, Australia. The current circuit was first used in 1956. It was and still is the home of the Australian MotoGP.
It was Australia’s premier permanent road course, and the 4.4 km (2.7-mile) long race track is a real thrill ride. The circuit combines a long straightaway, fast turns, tight hairpins, and dramatic elevation changes, including the challenging drop from Lukey Heights (a fast lefthander) to the tight turn ten righthander.
Phillip Island has since come to be regarded as one of the world’s most challenging race tracks – be it on two or four wheels.
