In the upcoming season 4 in iRacing, the Dallara P217 will be introduced. The car can be used (in real life) to compete in the LMP2 classes in the FIA WEC series and the European Le Mans Series (ELMS). The car also meets the regulations for the LMP2 class of the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, where it is run as a Cadillac DPi (Daytona Prototype International). It is a slight variant of the car and has been developed in partnership with General Motors (hence the Cadillac branding)

Me and my friends are most probably going to do some sim endurance racing in this new car, so it's about time to getting acquainted!

First about Dallara: it's an Italian chassis and car manufacturer with a rich history in racing equipment (since 1972). They are one of the four constructors who may supply the chassis for the cars that will compete in the LMP2 category. The other 3 are Ligier Automotive, Oreca and the joint-venture Riley Tech/Multimatic.
